Ishikawa Iron Works Dirty Mogurinko remote-controlled pipe inspection robot

DESCRIPTION

Dirty Mogurinko is a Mobile-Robots from Ishikawa Iron Works. It is built for Data Collection, Inspection. Key figures: 14 kg, 90 min runtime.

Dirty Mogurinko is a tethered, remote-controlled inspection robot for pipes of 400 mm and up, which Ishikawa calls the most mobile in the series. Its six low-pressure wheels sit in an inverted V with skid steering, so it turns on the spot and crosses soil, rubble and steps, with no tracks or belts for debris to jam. It is waterproof, runs through still and flowing water, and reaches 10 m/min with 7 kg of pulling force. Batteries give about 1 to 1.5 hours per charge. A 190-degree 520,000-pixel camera records to an SD card, and its height and angle can be set to reach the centre of larger pipes or stay above the water. A handheld controller with a 5.6-inch monitor runs the robot over a marked 50 m cable, or 100 m on some units. One unit was donated to Hai Phong, Vietnam, through JICA, and Ishikawa inspected sewers there with it.
