DESCRIPTION

Barakuda is a Military from Shark Robotics. It is built for Exploration, Monitoring, Transport. Key figures: 590 kg, 600 min runtime, 500 kg payload, released 2019.

Barakuda is an all-terrain wheeled mule robot from Shark Robotics of La Rochelle, France, built to carry equipment for defence, security and emergency teams over ground that would exhaust a person. Four 2,200 W electric motors on puncture-proof Michelin tires move a 500 kg payload at up to 20 km/h, tow a further 1,100 kg, clear 30 cm obstacles and hold 40-degree slopes with 35 degrees of side slope. The 590 kg platform measures 185 x 120 x 110 cm, is sealed to IP65 and runs 10 hours on four UN38.3-certified lithium-ion packs, recharging in 3 h 30 on its dock. It is driven from the Shark Station remote at roughly 1,000 m line of sight and exposes a ROS 2 / UDP interface for integration into an external autonomy stack.
