aunav.NEXT heavy dual-arm EOD/IED/CBRN and VBIED robot (aunav.NEXT HD variant)

DESCRIPTION

aunav.NEXT is a Military from EM&E Group. It is built for Security, Inspection, Remote. Key figures: 300 min runtime, 250 kg payload, 2070 mm reach, 8 degrees of freedom.

The aunav.NEXT is a heavy, remotely operated EOD robot for IED, CBRN and vehicle-borne IED (VBIED) missions, designed with bomb-disposal units and, the maker says, the only robot of its kind with Common Criteria EAL2+ security certification. Two synchronised arms that each rotate 360 degrees work together: a hydraulic main arm with 8 degrees of freedom lifts up to 250 kg and reaches 3,100 mm high and 2,070 mm forward, while an electric secondary arm (the same arm as on the aunav.NEO, removable in seconds) has 7 degrees of freedom and lifts 75 kg. The manipulator can get into a vehicle by deforming the bodywork or going through the windows, without tools or shots. A dual drive of six high-grip wheels and tracks moves it at up to 4 km/h and up slopes of more than 90 percent, and semi-autonomous functions let it follow an object, avoid obstacles and retrace its path if communications are lost. The IP65 robot measures 1,553 x 730 x 1,150 mm folded and runs about 5 hours. Operators use a tablet or a two-screen rugged-case control unit with up to 8 video streams and a 3D avatar of the arms, at 700 m to 3 km. Thailand ordered seven aunav.NEXT robots in 2020.
