DESCRIPTION
Adam is a Humanoid from PNDbotics. It is built for Research, Humanoid locomotion and manipulation research, embodied-AI algorithm development. Key figures: 63 kg, 240 min runtime, 43 degrees of freedom.
Adam is PNDbotics' full-size research humanoid — a 1.67 m, 60-63 kg biped built around the company's originally developed, highly integrated modular quasi-direct-drive (QDD) actuators with 340 Nm peak torque at knee and hip. Sold 'by developers, for developers', it ships in five configurations (Lite, Standard, Standard Plus, Pro and Pro Max) spanning 25 to 43 total degrees of freedom, from spherical-hand basic research up to 13-DoF arms with six-fingered dexterous hands, head cameras and whole-body inertial motion capture. A human-like 3-DoF articulated pelvis and waist give it its signature natural gait, control combines high-robustness whole-body control (WBC) with model predictive control (MPC), and the platform's narrow sim-to-real gap targets deep-reinforcement-learning research. It walks at 1.5 m/s or faster and runs about 4 hours per 1,188 Wh charge.
