Toala was the affordable member of Tokyo Robotics' dual-arm family, aimed at customers who wanted to test whether a two-armed robot could automate their task before committing to the sensor-laden Torobo. The difference is how it senses contact. Where Torobo has a torque sensor in every joint, Toala infers torque from motor current using a disturbance observer.
