DESCRIPTION
VEX AIM is an Educational-Robots from VEX Robotics. It is built for Education. Key figures: 0.2 kg.
VEX AIM is a compact coding robot built to bring computer science off the screen in middle and high school classrooms. It is only 73 mm tall and 65 mm across and weighs 156 g, yet it has an omnidirectional drive that moves in any direction, a colour touch screen that shows menus, sensor data and 36 emojis, programmable LED lights and a speaker. An AI Vision Sensor detects colours, the included sports balls and barrels, and AprilTags, while a gyro, accelerometer and wheel encoders give precise navigation. A kicker lets AIM pick up and place barrels and catch and kick balls, and robots talk to each other over Bluetooth. Students drive it with the included handheld controller or code it in VEXcode with blocks, Switch or Python, or in Visual Studio Code, downloading programs over Bluetooth or USB; both robot and controller use USB-rechargeable lithium batteries.
