DESCRIPTION
Robot Car is an Educational-Robots from PASCO scientific. It is built for Education.
The Robot Car (ME-7029) is an educational build-it-yourself robot from PASCO scientific, assembled from PASCO Structures I-beams, connectors, gears and wheels and driven by two high-speed stepper motors, with two servo motors working its steering and gripper. Students can build several configurations - front-wheel steering or dual rear-wheel steering, two or three wheels, with or without the gripper - and extend it with other Structures parts or PASCO sensors, for example a Wireless Motion Sensor so it can avoid obstacles.\nA //control.Node powers and controls the motors. Students program the car in Blockly inside PASCO Capstone or SPARKvue, either driving it over Bluetooth or uploading code so it runs autonomously, and can watch the stepper motors' position and velocity on a live graph alongside their code's output variables to debug its motion. Guided activities cover driving forward and back, turning, power steering, picking up objects with the gripper, going to a spot and returning, navigating a maze, turning in a circle and writing functions. Built, it is about 20 cm wide, 20 cm high and 30 cm long (46 cm with the gripper), with 6.4 cm wheels.
FEATURES
- Built from PASCO Structures components in several configurations (front or dual rear-wheel steering, 2 or 3 wheels, with/without gripper)
- 2 high-speed stepper motors (PS-2976) and 2 servo motors (SE-2975)
- Structures Gripper (ME-7025)
- //control.Node (PS-3232) powers and controls the motors
- Programmed in Blockly inside PASCO Capstone or SPARKvue
- Bluetooth Low Energy or uploaded code runs autonomously
- Live graphs of stepper position and velocity while code runs
- Expandable with other Structures parts and PASCO sensors (e.g. Wireless Motion Sensor for obstacle avoidance)
- Size about 20 x 20 x 30 cm (46 cm long with gripper)
- 6.4 cm wheels
- 18 cm rear-wheel track
- Also sold without //control.Node (ME-7039)
