Graal Tech R-300 (Robust X-300) heavy-payload AUV/ROV

DESCRIPTION

R-300 is an Industrial-Robot from Graal Tech. It is built for Material-Handling, Surveying, Inspection. Key figures: 180 kg, 720 min runtime, 60 kg payload.

R-300 is the 'robust' vehicle of Graal Tech's X-300 family, designed to carry bulky and heavy payloads. It is made of three short X-300 AUVs attached to a triangular aluminium frame, with a connection module at the bow of each X-300 providing a shared power and data line so the three coordinate their motion; the result is an agile vehicle that can work as a standard AUV or, with its fibre-optic tether, as an ROV. The 2,044 mm, 180 kg vehicle carries 60 kg of payload, reaches 4 knots and runs 12 hours at maximum speed on an expandable 14.4 V, 3,200 Wh Li-ion battery. Its frame can host instruments such as sonars, cameras, DVL and IMU and a 7-axis manipulator like the UMA-1500 for rescue missions or maintenance on offshore installations, and extra batteries can be added for longer missions. It navigates with GPS, depth meter, 3D inclinometer and INS and communicates by Wi-Fi radio up to 1 km or optional optical fibre.
