DESCRIPTION
UMA-1500 is an Industrial-Robot from Graal Tech. It is built for Material-Handling, Inspection. Key figures: 28 kg, 10 kg payload.
UMA-1500 is Graal Tech's modular underwater robotic manipulator for oil and gas, defence and security, oceanography and environmental monitoring. It is assembled from two kinds of basic modules made of Ergal aluminium alloy - joints, which provide motion, and links, the rigid bodies between them - all sharing the same mechatronic interface, so arms of different reach, number of axes and shape can be built and modules inserted, removed or replaced easily. Every joint contains one or two brushless motors driven by servo boards inside the structure, available in several sizes and gear ratios for the speed and torque required. The example configuration has six axes, is 2 m long, weighs 28 kg in air and 14 kg in water, lifts 10 kg in air and is rated to 1,500 m. Embedded servo boards run joint-level control at 200 Hz, high-resolution joint position sensors are standard and a wrist 6-axis force/torque sensor and wrist camera are optional, and it draws 200 to 500 W at 24 V. UMA-1500 is designed to be integrated on supporting vehicles such as ROVs, crawlers and Graal Tech's R-300.
