DESCRIPTION
Operator is an Industrial-Robot from Taurob. It is built for Heavy-Lifting, Material-Handling, Inspection. Key figures: 145 kg, 240 min runtime, 75 kg payload, 1400 mm reach, 5 degrees of freedom.
The Taurob Operator is a work-class prototype robot for oil and gas sites, developed within the ARGOS Joint Industry Project to interact with industrial equipment rather than only inspect it. Its 5-DOF arm reaches 1,400 mm horizontally and 1,800 mm vertically and lifts up to 75 kg close in or 30 kg fully outstretched, while the end effector delivers more than 100 N of grip and about 150 Nm of torque to turn valves, read dial gauges and handle customised tools. Remote-controlled or fully autonomous, it also inspects with two 3D LiDARs, four 2K cameras for 360-degree views, a 4K arm camera, microphone and a Draeger X-am 8000 gas detector, climbs stairs up to 45 degrees on tracks and works from -20 to +60 C at IP67 with a SIL2/PL-D safety controller. It measures 1,200 x 600 x 800 mm, weighs 145 kg, drives at 0.45 m/s and runs 4 hours per charge with a 4-hour recharge.
