DESCRIPTION

INSPECTOR Ultrasonic Inspection Robot is a Mobile-Robots from Inspector Systems. It is built for Data Collection, Inspection.

The INSPECTOR Ultrasonic Inspection Robot is a self-propelled pipe crawler that measures pipe wall thickness, suited to pipes laid underground and pipes with long vertical inclines. It works in pipes from 6 inches over lengths of about 300 m, travelling at 200 m/h through horizontal and vertical sections and 1.5 D bends, and can detect internal and external corrosion. Three drive elements joined by flexible bellows carry an ultrasonic module with a rotating sensor, a camera and a positioning unit. The sensor works through the water in filled pipes, or in contact with the wall, and a water-filled flow chamber lets it inspect unfilled pipes too. A glass fibre cable carries commands and data, and wall thickness appears online as a C-scan image.
