ALTO MUVYN (developed as Node) is Alto Robotics' autonomous, mobile and collaborative robot that moves materials and information on demand in industrial and service environments, for asset handling, internal logistics, quality control, maintenance, line ramp-up and commissioning. An AMR rather than an AGV, it maps its surroundings in 3D, avoids obstacles and adapts to layout changes without infrastructure modifications; anyone can switch it on and learn it in about three minutes, map 1,500 m2 in about 15 minutes, save destinations and launch single or multi-destination missions from a 15-inch multitouch screen, after which it returns to its station and presents the collected data. Patented steering and motorised-wheel technology gives high manoeuvrability in tight spaces, while large-diameter wheels and a low centre of gravity keep it stable on uneven floors and outdoors. It perceives with 3D LiDAR, depth cameras, a safety radar, proximity sensors and 3D laser scanners, runs ROS 2-based real-time software with AI route planning, uses wheel encoders for braking and an enabling button on the handle for safe manual driving, and talks to people through lights and sounds, with 'follow me' and a haptic handle for close collaboration. It is CE marked under the Machinery Directive, and Alto launched it on the Italian market in Q2 2025.
