DESCRIPTION
tSortPost is an Industrial-Robot from Tompkins Robotics. It is built for Intralogistics, Sorting, Transport. Key figures: 360 min runtime, 20 kg payload.
tSortPost is Tompkins Robotics' floor-running sortation robot for parcels, polybags, flats, totes and cartons: a pedestal robot with a belt on top that carries a load of up to 20 kg (44 lb) and items up to 61 x 40 cm (24 x 16 in) at up to 2 m/s. Its height can be set between 51 and 122 cm (20-48 in) to match induction and destination levels, and it runs for up to 6 hours per charge and fully recharges in 30 minutes; dual robot streams can be used to raise induction rates. tSortPost robots navigate by scanning QR codes on the floor, so they need no platform, conveyors, fixed tracks or heavy wiring and can work within a facility's existing layout, either as a standalone system or integrated with other automation. Items are placed on the robot's belt by operators or fed by pick-and-place robots or conveyors; barcode scanners identify each item and the robot carries it point-to-point to its destination - bins, gaylords or bags - accelerating at up to 1.5 m/s2. The robots charge themselves, and capacity grows by adding robots. Tompkins pitches it as a compact, plug-and-play alternative to conveyors for small businesses starting automation and for enterprises.
