Tompkins Robotics tSort Belt sortation robot

DESCRIPTION

tSort Belt is an Industrial-Robot from Tompkins Robotics. It is built for Intralogistics, Sorting, Transport. Key figures: 240 min runtime, 15 kg payload.

The tSort Belt is Tompkins Robotics' cross-belt sortation robot for small to mid-sized items that are fragile or irregularly shaped. Instead of tipping a tray, it discharges items with a powered belt; it carries up to 15 kg (33 lb) and items up to 558 x 406 mm (22 x 16 in) at speeds of up to 2.5 m/s. tSort is Tompkins Robotics' modular robotic sortation system: a fleet of independent robots runs across a modular sortation table on caster wheels, receives items at induction stations, where barcode scanners identify each item, and drops them into totes, cartons, mailbags or gaylords at up to 6,000+ destinations, with a system throughput of 50,000+ items per hour in up to 75% less space than traditional sorters. tSort robots accelerate at up to 2.0 m/s2, charge automatically on grid-mounted chargers (one per 15 robots) for 5-8 minutes to get up to 4 hours of operation while the system keeps full throughput, and operate from -20 to 55 C, so the system can run in chilled areas as well as ambient warehouses. Robots, induction points and table sections can be added or reconfigured as volumes change.
