SPIDER® is a Cleaning-Robots from AX Solar Robot. It is built for Cleaning.

SPIDER is AX Solar Robot's permanently installed cleaning robot for large rooftop photovoltaic arrays - the company describes it as the first autonomous cleaner mounted permanently on the plant rather than brought in by a crew. Because it lives on the roof, it cleans as often as the array needs rather than as often as a contractor visits. An onboard rain sensor starts it during rainfall, which cleans the panels using no stored water at all, and a soiling detection function starts it whenever output drops far enough to justify it. It can also be triggered on demand, and an optional water feed allows cleaning in dry spells. The robot powers itself from its own solar panel, which drives its two motors and control system, and it can alternatively draw from the plant. It travels on a guide rail with a guide carriage and charging station, using a winch and onboard sensors to work the array, and has no slope limit. It retrofits to existing plants as well as new builds and suits any rooftop panel type.
