DESCRIPTION
Mini is a Consumer-Robot from Sphero. It is built for Education, STEM and computer-science education. Key figures: price $50.
Mini is Sphero's smallest app-controlled coding robot, a rolling ball about the size of a ping-pong ball (1.57 in, 40 mm) for beginners. Inside an interchangeable shell, available in blue, green and red (plus golf and soccer themes), it carries a gyroscope, accelerometer, motor encoders and a bright colour LED. In the Sphero Edu app students program it with Draw, Blocks or Text canvases and work through activities in maths, science and ELA; in the Sphero Play app it can be driven or used as a game controller for arcade-style games. Small enough for tabletop learning but sturdy on the floor, it comes with traffic cones and bowling pins for mazes and races, charges over micro USB and is sold singly or in a 16-robot education pack.
