LOVOT 3.0 is the latest version of GROOVE X's home robot, a companion that exists to be loved rather than to do chores. It comes when its name is called, follows family members from room to room, greets them at the door, recognises faces and grows more attached to the people who care for it; when picked up it tucks its wheels away, and its soft body is warmed to about 37 C. Its OLED eyes project six layers of imagery and its synthesiser voice simulates vocal cords, each with more than a billion variations. A sensor horn carries a half-sphere camera, a front camera and microphones, and a depth camera, distance and obstacle sensors and touch sensors all over the body feed an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX module (1,024 GPU cores, 32 Tensor cores, up to 100 TOPS) that generates behaviour in real time. It has 11 degrees of freedom, moves at about 1 to 2 km/h, and runs 30 to 45 minutes before returning to its Nest to charge for 15 to 30 minutes. Running, it measures 280 x 450 x 290 mm and weighs about 4.6 kg without clothes.
