DESCRIPTION

Doova is a Consumer-Robot from Tuya Smart. It is built for Companionship, Entertainment, Helping. Key figures: released 2026.

Doova is a home companion robot from Tuya Smart for older people who live on their own. Tuya unveiled it at IFA 2026 in Berlin, where it was the headline of the company's stand. Its main job is safety. Doova carries LDS LiDAR, a four-microphone sound-source localisation array and vision-based skeletal recognition. When a user calls out 'Hey Tuya, help', it finds them, drives to their side and assesses their posture. If there is no response within 60 seconds it starts a two-way live video call to family members. Day to day it holds conversations through a multimodal large language model, plays audio and video, explains bills and letters, flags possible scams and walks users through smart appliances. It gives medication, weather and schedule reminders, offers light games and learns preferences for meals, gardening and clothing. When the home is empty, Doova patrols room to room on a dual-wheel drive with casters, stopping near the centre of each room for a 360-degree scan, and sends a safety report to the user's phone. It docks and recharges itself and doubles as a voice-controlled hub for Tuya-connected lights, curtains and appliances. The soft, rounded body carries a 10.1-inch display for its animated face, at a height meant for users who are standing, sitting or lying down. No price or release date has been announced.
