DESCRIPTION

TCL AiMe is a Consumer-Robot from TCL. It is built for Companionship, Entertainment, Monitoring. Key figures: 8 degrees of freedom, released 2026.

AiMe is TCL's family companion robot for children aged three and up - a small, rounded robot on a wheeled base that TCL describes as a playmate for the child and a parenting assistant for the adults. It is the second generation of heyAiMe, the modular concept TCL showed at CES 2025, re-engineered for mass production and launched on pre-sale on JD.com in China on 8 August 2026, then shown at IFA 2026 in Berlin. TCL describes the hardware as an embodied-intelligence architecture with two chips, one for high-level reasoning and one for real-time control, running on D-Robotics Sunrise AI processors. Eight flexible bionic joints let it raise its arms and turn its head in time with animated facial expressions. A multi-dimensional sensing module, a high-precision 3D perception system and a laser-SLAM navigation chassis let it map the whole home, avoid obstacles, follow a child from room to room, recognise objects and return to its charger by itself. Three in-house software systems sit on top: Living Spark, an emotion engine that ties expression and movement together; Living Sense, which reads a child's voice, movement and mood; and ProActive Mind, a device-cloud architecture with long-term memory and its own scheduling of interactions. The content, developed with children's-education specialists, is organised around active exploration, self-expression and good habits. In practice that means play-based learning that reuses toys already in the house, role-play themes, story building, letters the child answers by drawing, gamified routines for waking, brushing teeth, meals and bedtime, NFC adventure badges, English conversation practice and songs to dance to, with more added over the air. Interchangeable plush outfits change its look. TCL has not published a price.
