Aura is a pet companion robot from Tuya Smart, unveiled at CES 2026 as the company's first AI-powered robot for pets. It is aimed at owners who leave dogs and cats alone during the day and want more than a feeder or camera. The robot is built from modules: an IPC voice module, interactive feeding and play modules, a robotic mobility module and a combined feeding and charging dock. At CES it was shown in an upright form with a screen face on a two-wheeled body next to the dock, and as a rounded pod with a pet bed. Aura moves around the home using V-SLAM navigation, binocular vision and Tuya's AIVI object recognition, seeks out pets to interact with them and returns to its dock to recharge. It reads a pet's emotional state from behaviour and sounds and sends reports to the owner's phone. For play it offers a laser, treat dispensing, simulated pet sounds and animated facial expressions with voice interaction. It also recognises and follows pets to capture photos and short videos automatically. Tuya positions Aura as a gateway to its developer ecosystem and to local pet services such as boarding, grooming and training. It was shown again on Tuya's IFA 2026 stand. No price or release date has been announced.
