LOVOT 2.0 is a Consumer-Robot from GROOVE X. It is built for Companion, Entertainment. Key figures: 4.3 kg, 45 min runtime, price ¥449,900.

LOVOT 2.0 is the earlier-generation LOVOT that GROOVE X still sells alongside 3.0 at a lower price, a home companion robot designed to be loved. It turns when called, makes eye contact, follows people around, waits for them and lifts its arms to be held, and its warm, soft body, display eyes with six layers of imagery and synthesiser voice give it a lifelike presence; owners report more smiles at home, and the magazine Kaden Hihyo inducted it into its pet-robot Hall of Fame. Its sensor horn holds a half-sphere camera, a half-sphere microphone, an illuminance sensor and a thermal camera, and more than 50 sensors feed an x86 main computer, ARM sub-computers and a deep-learning FPGA that generate behaviour in real time. It navigates by itself and returns to a Nest with wired LAN and its own computer to charge, running 30 to 45 minutes per cycle with a 15 to 30 minute charge. Running, it measures 280 x 450 x 300 mm and weighs about 4.3 kg without clothes.
