Kikobot CI Series

DESCRIPTION

Kikobot CI Series is a Collaborative-Robot from Kikobot. It is built for Assembly, Machine-Tending, Material-Handling. Key figures: 39 kg, 10 kg payload, 1400 mm reach, 6 degrees of freedom.

The CI Series is Kikobot's range of six-axis collaborative robots, designed and built in Pune for factory jobs such as machine tending, material handling, assembly, packaging and welding. Built-in force, torque and collision detection lets the arms work next to people once a risk assessment has been done. Four models are listed. The CI3 carries 3 kg with a 600 mm reach and weighs 14 kg; the CI5 carries 5 kg over 860 mm and weighs 24 kg; the CI7 carries 7 kg over 960 mm and weighs 25 kg; and the CI10 carries 10 kg over 1,400 mm and weighs 39 kg. All repeat positions to within 0.05 mm and move at up to 2.5 m/s (3 m/s for the CI7). Joints turn at up to 160 to 180 degrees per second, and most have a range of plus or minus 360 degrees. The arms run on 48 V DC from a 100-240 V AC controller, draw 400 to 750 W and are built from aluminium and ABS for floor mounting. The arms are taught by hand-guiding or programmed in Kikobot Studio, which offers drag-and-drop programming, 3D simulation with collision checking and live diagnostics. The controller has 8 digital inputs and outputs, Ethernet and Modbus, and an RS485 tool interface; the datasheet says models up to 30 kg are available.
