The Factory Train FT600 and FT900 are Neumaier Industry's automated tugger trains for driverless transport indoors and outdoors. A tow tractor pulls one to five load carriers, and automation can range from semi-automated to fully automated driving plus fully automated loading and unloading: carriers with roller-conveyor or chain-conveyor superstructures dock at stationary conveyors with millimetre precision and transfer Euro pallets, while carriers with automatic telescopic forks pick up trolleys, roll racks or pallets from transfer stations or straight from the floor.\nThe trains navigate by geo/contour navigation over a mapped route, optionally combined with GNSS satellite navigation as hybrid navigation on large sites, and Neumaier's patented outdoor solution keeps the PL-d safety laser scanners working in rain. The train drives itself to an inductive charging station or charges in between jobs for 24/7 operation. Per-wagon load capacities run from 1,000 to 4,000 kg in the FT600 series and 1,000 to 3,000 kg in the FT900 series, which adds swing-axle suspension for outdoor ride comfort. An FT630 has run fully automated, including pallet loading and unloading, at an automotive manufacturer in Stuttgart.
