DESCRIPTION
ATOLL is an Industrial-Robot from Forssea Robotics. It is built for Lifting, Inspection. Key figures: 245 kg, 40 kg payload.
ATOLL is Forssea Robotics' patented smart lifting ROV, an observation-class vehicle deployable from a light vessel that performs a fully autonomous approach and docking on a seabed target using embedded control algorithms and visual docking. Once linked to the target, ATOLL can transfer power and data to it, or latch on mechanically to recover it to the surface or to operate valves; Forssea markets it in particular for deploying and recovering long-baseline (LBL) positioning frames from opportunity vessels, and it has been paired with iXblue's DriX surface drone for LBL transponder deployment. ATOLL is rated to 2,000 m (upgrade on demand), weighs 245 kg in air, measures 1,056 x 1,022 x 1,200 mm and carries a 40 kg payload. Its frame has a 1,500 kg safe working lift including the ROV and a 4,500 kg breaking load, and its quick latching system is rated 500 kg as standard, upgradable to 1.5 t. Six SPE-75 thrusters drive it at 3.5 knots forward and 2.5 knots vertically. Auto functions cover heading, depth, altitude, station keeping, visual docking with the NAV CAM and V-LOC software, and go-to dynamic positioning with an optional INS and DVL. It comes with a dedicated launch and recovery system or adapts to any LARS or crane, and can fly free up to 500 m from a TMS or clump weight.
