DESCRIPTION
Sentire Surgical System is a Medical-Robots from Cornerstone Robotics. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Surgery. Key figures: released 2024.
Sentire is Cornerstone Robotics' multi-port endoscopic surgical robot for minimally invasive surgery. A patient cart carries four instrument arms over the operating table, while the surgeon sits at a separate console and controls the instruments through master hand controllers, watching a glasses-free 3D view of the surgical field; a vision cart with the endoscopic imaging system completes the set-up. The system is cleared for urology, gastrointestinal, hepato-biliary-pancreatic, gynecological and thoracic procedures such as prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, gastrectomy, colorectal resection, liver resection and lung or esophageal resection. Ultra-low-latency control keeps instrument motion synchronised with the surgeon's hands, a gravity-compensated master reduces fatigue, micro-damping and tremor filtering keep motion steady, and the master and instruments rotate through 600 degrees within a 27-litre master workspace. A two-stage grip lets forceps close lightly to slide sutures or firmly to grasp and pull tissue. Image processing adapts brightness and enhances detail on twin high-definition screens with separate left and right optical paths. The compact cart folds for storage and transport, set-up follows a three-step docking routine, and all core components are developed in-house. Sentire received NMPA approval in China in 2024 and EU CE (MDR) and Singapore HSA certification in 2026.
