DESCRIPTION
PreciseFlex c8A is a Collaborative-Robot from Brooks Automation. It is built for Material-Handling, Pick-and-place, Machine feeding, kitting, storage and retrieval, mobile manipulation. Key figures: 46 kg, 8 kg payload, 985 mm reach, 6 degrees of freedom.
The PreciseFlex c8A is the six-axis member of Brooks' PreciseFlex family. It keeps the tall-column, horizontally articulated layout of the four-axis models but adds a wrist, so it can tilt and orient parts for machine feeding, small-parts handling, kitting, storage and retrieval and mobile applications. It carries 8 kg and has a rotary base (+/-168 degrees), a Z column of 500, 1,000 or 1,420 mm, an elbow and three wrist joints. Horizontal reach is 896 mm with joint 5 at 90 degrees or 985 mm with it at 0 degrees. It moves at up to 500 mm/s horizontally and 600 mm/s vertically and repeats to +/-0.02 mm at the tool flange. The controller is built in; it draws 100-250 W, offers EtherNet/IP and Modbus/TCP, 12 inputs and 8 outputs plus end-of-arm I/O and two air lines, and weighs 46-65 kg depending on the column.
