Mobius Bionics LUKE arm system - radial configuration

DESCRIPTION

LUKE Arm Radial Configuration is a Medical-Robots from Mobius Bionics. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Rehabilitation, Helping. Key figures: 1.4 kg, 6 degrees of freedom.

The LUKE Arm Radial Configuration is the version of Mobius Bionics' LUKE prosthetic arm for transradial amputation (residual limb below the elbow, not including the wrist). It weighs 1.4 kg and has 6 powered degrees of freedom: wrist pronation/supination, compound wrist flexion with ulnar/radial deviation, and four hand axes. It is the shortest of the three configurations, combining the multi-articulating LUKE hand with a powered wrist rotator and a compound wrist flexor, and runs on an external battery only.\nThe LUKE hand has a powered thumb, powered index finger and combined powered middle, ring and pinky fingers that conform to objects in six pre-programmed grips, from a power grip for bottles to a tool grip that leaves the index finger free to work a trigger. The arm can be driven by surface EMG electrodes, pressure or rocker switches and other industry-standard inputs, or by Mobius' own wireless IMUs worn on the shoes, which turn foot tilts into joystick-like commands; speed is proportional to the input. A grip-force sensor can drive a vibrating tactor on the socket, it resists light rain and fine dust (IP52), and it is fitted by a certified prosthetist for adults 18 and over to help with activities of daily living.
