DESCRIPTION
Galaxi is a Medical-Robots from Articulus Surgical. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Surgery, Helping.
Galaxi is a surgical optics robot from Articulus Surgical that brings surgeon-controlled visualisation to minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery. Rather than an assistant holding the laparoscope by hand, a robotic arm holds and positions the camera so that the operating surgeon controls the view. The maker's photos and renders show an articulated white arm on a mounting column beside the operating table, carrying a laparoscope through a port, while the surgeon works with hand-held instruments. Articulus describes Galaxi as an intelligent surgical optics robot and positions it as a step between its Nebula training simulator and its Pulsar multi-arm surgical robot. The first Galaxi concept was created in 2023, and CDSCO granted Galaxi an MD-13 test licence in 2024. The company has not published specifications or clinical deployments for Galaxi.
