The Jaguar 4x4 Wheel is the wheeled version of Dr Robot's Jaguar Lite, built for indoor and outdoor operation that needs higher ground clearance and faster manoeuvrability. Four 80 W motors - one per wheel - drive it at up to 11 km/h with zero-radius turning and 88 mm ground clearance; it climbs slopes over 45 degrees and 155 mm obstacles, handles stairs up to 110 mm and survives a 1.2 m drop onto concrete in a sealed, weather-resistant chassis rated -30 to +40 C. It carries 30 kg (50 kg with an upgrade, at 7 km/h) and drags 50 kg, uses a 5 Hz GPS and 9-DOF IMU for autonomous navigation with a 640 x 480 camera with audio, headlights and an optional laser scanner over 802.11n, and runs 2 hours nominal (optional 4) on a 22.2 V 10 Ah LiPo battery. A ready-to-use control and navigation application, gamepad control with an optional head-mounted display or NVIDIA Shield controller, and a full SDK with sample code for Microsoft Robotics Studio, Visual Studio, ROS, NI LabVIEW, MATLAB and Java are supplied.
