InMotion ARM/HAND is BIONIK's upper-limb rehabilitation robot that adds a hand module to the InMotion ARM, supporting therapy for reaching with grasp and release movements and individual hand movements after stroke and other neurological conditions or injuries. It offers ARM-only, HAND-only and integrated ARM/HAND evaluation and therapy activities, so clinicians can move from proximal to distal retraining and on to functional reach-and-grasp tasks, and isolated hand work suits distal-only impairments. The new generation launched in January 2019 at APTA CSM added enhanced hand-opening and grasping therapy, the InMotionEVAL evaluation and reporting system and robot-utilisation reports for administrators. Setup takes 2-3 minutes, with an adjustable-length forearm rest for small to large adults and paediatric patients, wrist-pronation adjustment, adjustable straps and contoured finger and thumb grips. It is a Class II, 510(k)-exempt medical device listed with the US FDA and carried a CE mark.
