DESCRIPTION
Meissa OT is a Medical-Robots from EGZOTech. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Rehabilitation, EMG-driven robotic physiotherapy.
Meissa OT is EGZOTech's compact robotic device for upper-limb and hand rehabilitation, which the company calls the world's only rehabilitation robot that enables functional upper-limb training using electromyography and electrostimulation. EMG-assisted movement lets even the slightest muscle activity trigger robotic assistance, with 4-channel electrostimulation synchronised with movement phases, 4-channel electromyography and EMG biofeedback, a configurable range of motion and six interchangeable therapy tips such as a ball, key, screwdriver, knob and handle. It provides isolated wrist flexion/extension and abduction/adduction and forearm pronation/supination, and trains hand functions such as pinching, turning a door handle or key, opening a jar or using a screwdriver, for neurological patients after stroke, brain or spinal cord injury and with neurodegenerative diseases, and for orthopaedic patients after hand surgery, joint replacement, fractures or carpal tunnel syndrome. A newer activities-of-daily-living extension set adds mug, mouse and stick tips, nine FES protocols, ADL programmes and games, a grip-support glove and an accessory organiser.
