DESCRIPTION

HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal is a Humanoid from Humanoid. It is built for Assistance, Manipulation, Material-Handling. Key figures: 90 kg, 240 min runtime, 15 kg payload, 29 degrees of freedom.

HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal is the walking version of Humanoid's first robot, developed in five months and, the company says, walking stably after 48 hours of training. Where the wheeled model is built for industrial floors, the bipedal one is aimed at accelerating AI and R&D work for home and service applications. It is 179 cm tall and weighs 90 kg - a third of the wheeled model - with the same 29 degrees of freedom, 15 kg payload, 2 m/s top speed and roughly four hours of run time. Its reinforcement-learning whole-body controller covers a wide range of gaits: walking in straight and curved lines, turning in place, sidestepping, walking backwards, squatting, squat walking, hopping and running. End-effectors are modular, either a 12-degree-of-freedom five-finger hand or a single-degree-of-freedom parallel gripper. The head is built for interaction, with RGB cameras, two depth sensors, a display, LEDs, a six-microphone array and speakers; the body adds 6D force-torque sensors, wrist cameras, end-effector force sensors and haptic feedback, under interchangeable protective garments. Like its wheeled sibling it runs KinetIQ, the company's four-layer AI framework on NVIDIA compute, which can orchestrate a fleet mixing both bodies across industrial, service and home environments.
