The Pest Detection Robot is the tracked sibling of GC Robotics' pest monitor, built for ground the wheeled version would struggle on. Rubber tracks on spring suspension absorb the jolts of rutted fields, and it turns on the spot for a zero turning radius in narrow rows. The work is the same: ultraviolet and visible-light luring on a light and timer trigger, a sealed escape-proof collection box with a 95%+ capture rate, on-board AI vision that identifies species at a stated 90%+ rate with counting error of 5% or less, and upload of images, counts and positions over Wi-Fi or 4G. It can cruise the whole field automatically or hold fixed-point forecasting positions. It is larger than the wheeled model at 820 x 660 x 900 mm, weighs 75 kg and carries 70 kg, climbing 20-degree slopes and clearing 50 mm obstacles at up to 0.8 m/s. A 16-line LiDAR, depth camera and IMU give +/-5 cm positioning, and the 36 V 26 Ah battery runs at least 12 hours loaded with a 2.5-hour recharge.
