DESCRIPTION

BIONICLI is an End-Effectors from lifeandlimb.ai. It is built for Material-Handling, Rehabilitation, Helping. Key figures: 480 min runtime, 6 degrees of freedom.

BIONICLI is a myoelectric bionic prosthetic hand from lifeandlimb.ai for people with upper-limb amputation. Electromyography (EMG) sensors on the residual limb pick up muscle signals, and a dedicated on-board control circuit uses a current-thresholding technique to drive the motors inside the hand, so individual fingers can open and close and the thumb can both flex/extend and abduct/adduct. The control electronics manage six actuators, a display and a separate battery pack. Power comes from BIS-certified 18650 lithium-ion cells with a combined 5,600 mAh capacity, which the company says gives about eight hours of continuous use; a seven-segment display shows the charge level, and the hand can only be charged when it is detached from the socket. The wrist joint is non-circular and shaped to match the user's other limb. Each hand is customised: the other limb is 3D-scanned, modified in CAD, and the plastic parts are printed by Multi-Jet Fusion in skin-tone colours. Variants listed on the site include Digit, Lite, Myo Plus, Pro, AE for above-elbow users and Sainik. The company is running a clinical pilot programme with 25 hands.
