DESCRIPTION
ASRS is an Industrial-Robot from Rapyuta Robotics. It is built for Intralogistics, Material-Handling, Picking.
Rapyuta ASRS is Rapyuta Robotics' robotic automated storage and retrieval system: a modular, anchorless structure of base blocks, poles and floor panels, more than seven levels high, worked by fleets of very thin robots. Each robot drives under the stored bins on mecanum wheels in any direction without stopping to turn, lifts its target bin and carries it at up to 2.5 m/s, moving between levels by high-speed lifts; the multi-robot coordination AI, proven with up to 300 robots, lets robots temporarily move front bins so bins can be packed in dense rows without aisles. Robots swap batteries automatically in under a minute instead of stopping to charge. Picking stations handle up to eight bins with displays, projectors and motion-capture cameras that catch wrong picks, and bins come in 22, 40 and 58 cm heights. Because nothing is anchored, the system fits around columns and mezzanines and can be relocated; it includes a free WMS with API integration, and Rapyuta claims up to 10x productivity and 2.5x storage efficiency.
