The Jaguar 4x4 Wheel with Arm pairs Dr Robot's four-wheel-drive Jaguar with the rugged Jaguar Arm. Four 105 W wheel motors drive it at up to 9 km/h with 88 mm ground clearance; it climbs slopes over 45 degrees and 155 mm obstacles in a weather-resistant chassis rated -30 to +40 C. The aluminium 3-DOF arm with a 1-DOF gripper reaches over 710 mm, lifts 4 kg at full reach, opens 150 mm and has a wrist camera, with options for infrared and white LEDs, a dust blower and a laser scanner on the arm. Working with the robot's own motion, the arm can reach virtually any position and orientation, under joint-space or Cartesian control. The robot carries 15 kg and drags 50 kg, navigates with a 5 Hz GPS and 9-DOF IMU, streams video and audio over 802.11n and runs 3 hours nominal. A ready-to-use control and navigation application, gamepad control with an optional head-mounted display or NVIDIA Shield controller, and a full SDK with sample code for Microsoft Robotics Studio, Visual Studio, ROS, NI LabVIEW, MATLAB and Java are supplied.
