Versastore is GEBHARDT's robotic storage system for unit loads, semi-finished products and workpieces on trays. Unlike systems with fixed storage heights, it adjusts each storage position to the height of the load, packing a high-density, block-storage-like structure, and specialised Versastore bots reach the trays from above. The bots travel at up to 3.1 m/s and handle up to 35 kg on trays for workpieces up to 600 x 400 x 350 mm, in structures up to 10 m high. Workpieces can be processed directly on the tray without reloading, which links storage straight into automated production and to AGVs; Versastore was nominated for the German materialfluss product of the year.
