DESCRIPTION
TUNA is a Service-Robots from EyeROV. It is built for Filming, Search-And-Rescue, Surveying.
TUNA is a compact observation-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) from EyeROV for inspecting submerged infrastructure in shallow to mid-depth water. EyeROV both sells it and uses it for its own inspection services. The vehicle is rated to 100 m, travels at up to 2 knots and is connected to the surface by a 75 m neutrally buoyant tether. It carries a single 4K low-light camera with 10x zoom on a tilt mechanism and 3,000 lumens of LED lighting. Auto-depth and auto-heading modes hold the vehicle steady while the pilot concentrates on the inspection. The vehicle measures 500 x 400 x 550 mm. TUNA is flown from an ordinary laptop with a joystick, using EyeROV's i-Control Hub software for live video and depth, orientation and navigation data. Optional payloads are an imaging sonar for poor visibility, an underwater positioning system and an echo sounder. Typical jobs are dam, tunnel, pipeline and bridge-foundation inspection, port and ship-hull surveys, coral-reef monitoring and search and rescue.
