DESCRIPTION
TerrainBot 4X is a Mobile-Robots from Dr Robot. It is built for Exploration, Others, Inspection. Key figures: 28 kg, 180 min runtime.
The TerrainBot 4X is Dr Robot's four-wheel-drive explorer from its AIMechatronix line, built for challenging terrain and precise manipulation in both autonomous and manual operation. Four 80 W brushless motors with encoders and regenerative braking drive 28 cm all-terrain wheels on independent suspension with anti-roll stabilisation, for up to 2.5 m/s, 35-degree slopes and 12 cm ground clearance. A centre-mounted 6-DOF arm reaches 65 cm, carries 2 kg at full extension with +/-2 mm repeatability and rotates 360 degrees, with gripper, tool and sensor mounts. Navigation, arm, rear and side cameras, a 360 x 90 degree LiDAR with 30 m range, a 9-DOF IMU and a GPS/GNSS receiver feed an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX running ROS 2, providing GPS waypoint following, obstacle avoidance, visual odometry, object detection and autonomous exploration. A hot-swappable 22.2 V 20 Ah battery runs about 3 hours, and it is controlled by tablet, laptop, web interface or MATLAB/Simulink/Unity; the company lists outdoor exploration, industrial inspection, search-and-rescue support and agricultural or environmental monitoring among its uses.
