DESCRIPTION

SWARM Biotactics Cyborg Swarm is a Legged-Robots from SWARM Biotactics. It is built for Data Collection, Reconnaissance, Search-And-Rescue.

SWARM Biotactics turns live insects into steerable bio-robots: cockroaches are fitted with custom backpacks that carry sensors, edge AI and secure communications, and are neuro-controlled by software so they can be guided into places machines cannot reach, such as collapsed buildings, tunnels, cluttered structures and GPS-denied terrain. Because the platform is a living organism, the units are extremely low-signature and can stay on station for hours to weeks on minimal energy, at biological cost and scale. Swarms are run through SWARM OS, which combines mission control, swarm autonomy and sensor fusion and improves with each mission, and are delivered with rugged deployment kits for fast launch. SWARM targets defence and security first (covert ISR, perimeter and border monitoring, surveillance in dense urban areas), then search and rescue in collapsed structures and infrastructure inspection. The company describes the system as field-tested.
