The Smart Item Picker is a compact robotic cell that picks single items from totes and places them where the next process needs them: from cube storage such as AutoStore, shuttles, other ASRS or AMRs into order bins, onto conveyors or into sorters, auto-baggers and pocket systems. A cobot arm and gripper are driven by Smart Robotics' AI vision, motion and decision software, which picks a wide variety of items without SKU teaching and keeps improving as it runs. The cell handles up to 1,000 items an hour, checks item weight, picks items above 5 kg, reads barcodes for accurate identification and handles goods gently to avoid damage. It works safely alongside people, connects to the WMS/WCS, and serves apparel, cosmetics, healthcare, toys, pharma and e-commerce fulfilment; bol.com piloted it. Smart Robotics sells it as a service with hardware, software, remote monitoring and support included.
