Sherpa Mecha

DESCRIPTION

Sherpa Mecha is a Humanoid from Ati Motors Pvt. Ltd.. It is built for Machine-Tending, Material-Handling, Pick-and-place. Key figures: 12 kg payload, 900 mm reach, 19 degrees of freedom.

Sherpa Mecha is an industrial humanoid-style robot from Ati Robotics (formerly Ati Motors): a dual-arm mobile manipulator on an autonomous wheeled base that drives, reaches and handles in one workflow. It is not bipedal; it rides on the same navigation platform as Ati's Sherpa AMRs and needs no floor tape, beacons or other infrastructure changes. Two carbon-fibre arms with 19 degrees of freedom in total move bins, totes and parts of up to 12 kg (26 lb) between conveyors, workstations and shelves. An extending torso adjusts the robot's height from 1,100 to 2,000 mm, so the arms can pick from floor level and place at eye level, with a 900 mm reach. The robot is 580 mm wide, travels at up to 1.5 m/s and uses 3D LiDAR and cameras to stay aware of people and obstacles. It runs on two 55 Ah batteries that recharge in two hours. The design is modular, with separate shoulder, arm and body modules that can be replaced in the field. Ati targets machine tending, bin and tote transfer, tool changeouts, fastening and inspection support in automotive, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, electronics, heavy equipment and energy plants, and is recruiting research and innovation partners for pilot integrations.
