DESCRIPTION
RakuRo is a Mobile-Robots from ROBO-HI. It is built for Entertainment, Helping, Transport. Key figures: 240 min runtime.
RakuRo is ROBO-HI's single-seat autonomous 'walking-speed mobility', a small personal vehicle that drives its rider to a destination chosen in an app, so neither young nor elderly riders need to steer or watch their speed. Unlike a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair it needs no joystick; it runs on public sidewalks - having passed the Robot Delivery Association's safety review - so a companion can simply walk alongside. An LED panel with eyes on the front shows what it is about to do, such as moving off, turning or stopping, and it steers with its two front wheels for tight turns. It is always connected to the network, so its status, location and rider can be monitored, enabling MaaS services, remote operation and watch-over functions.\nA 'group walk' function lets several RakuRo travel together so one carer can accompany up to four care-home residents on a walk. It has also been used for NIGHT SAFARI, a ride where users see XR wild animals appear around them, held at Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu in March 2024 and Takanawa Gateway City in August 2025. It runs about four hours on a one-hour charge.
