DESCRIPTION
The Qiji T1000 is, on Dax Robotics' claim, the world's first ton-class quadruped robot — a machine built to carry 1,000 kg, which is an order of magnitude beyond the heavy end of the legged-robot market. The number that makes it possible is joint torque: 2,000 N·m from a single joint, which Dax puts at roughly five times the industry average. Feeding that takes an unusual electrical architecture, a 160-200 V extra-high-voltage system supplying up to 45 kW, around nine times what the company cites as the industry standard. Despite the mass it is not slow: in wheel-legged mode it reaches 50 km/h, and Dax quotes one to two full working days of endurance on a single charge, which matters more than peak speed for the material-handling and logistics work it targets. It is offered in a choice of colours, and Dax positions it against jobs currently done by forklifts, AGVs and people — automobile plant feeding, warehouse sorting, and heavy material movement across sites where wheels alone cannot go.
