DESCRIPTION

PreciseFlex c5 is a Collaborative-Robot from Brooks Automation. It is built for Material-Handling, Pick-and-place, Lab automation, electronics test and handling, machine feeding, mobile manipulation. Key figures: 28.8 kg, 5 kg payload, 721 mm reach, 4 degrees of freedom.

The PreciseFlex c5 is a four-axis collaborative robot with a rotary base that Brooks pitches as a new standard for lab automation and beyond. It suits electronics test and handling, machine feeding, small-parts handling, kitting, storage and retrieval, indoor farming and mobile applications, and uses patented direct-drive motors on all horizontal axes for higher reliability. Its tall Z axis (400, 750 or 1,160 mm) and slim arm give a near-cylindrical working volume for reaching into racks, shelves and stacked instruments, and the rotary base adds +/-168 degrees. It carries up to 5 kg (3 kg rated, without gripper), reaches 721 mm to the tool centre point (IntelliGuide grippers add 68.7 mm), moves at up to 1,500 mm/s horizontally and 600 mm/s vertically, and repeats to +/-0.05 mm. It weighs 28.8-41.9 kg depending on the column, draws 100-250 W with a DC option for mobile robots, speaks EtherNet/IP, Modbus/TCP and RS232, and works with IntelliGuide servo and vision grippers and the collaborative linear rail.
