DESCRIPTION

Orangewood Robotic Arm is a Collaborative-Robot from Orangewood Labs. It is built for Coating, Painting, Pick-and-place.

The Orangewood Robotic Arm is a collaborative robot arm from Orangewood Labs, a San Francisco company with its engineering base in Noida, India. It is designed to be cheaper and easier to set up than conventional industrial arms, so that small and medium-sized manufacturers can automate jobs without specialist programmers. The arm is programmed through RoboGPT, Orangewood's natural-language layer, which lets an operator describe a task in text or by voice and turns it into robot motion. Orangewood markets the arm for bin picking, camera-based visual inspection, powder coating and spray painting, and demonstrates it pouring and serving drinks as a bartending robot. The company's videos show a silver and black arm with lit joint covers and a camera ring at the wrist, mounted on a round pedestal. Orangewood has not published payload, reach or repeatability figures or a model name on its website, which currently carries a pre-order banner. TechCrunch reported in 2023 that the arm had been used in 500 deployments, starting with remotely operated furniture painting.
