DESCRIPTION
Mobile Robot Platform (MRP) is an Industrial-Robot from BEC Robotics. It is built for Machine-Tending, Material-Handling, palletizing. Key figures: 300 kg payload.
The Mobile Robot Platform (MRP) is BEC Robotics' way of making a heavy industrial robot mobile. Instead of fixing a robot to an AMR, the MRP decouples the two: a platform base carrying a KUKA QUANTEC or IONTEC robot - with a PLC, KRC5 robot controller, safety sensors, machine-communication module, power supply and a compressed-air tank - is lifted and moved between stations by an AGV such as the KUKA KMP 1500, which is then free for other logistics jobs. At each station the MRP connects to a permanently installed docking station that fixes it mechanically and supplies power, compressed air and communications. Because the mechanical fixation gives stationary-robot accuracy, no camera referencing or recalibration is needed, and the robot is ready to work within 15 seconds of docking. One MRP can serve several stations, more docking stations can be added easily, and payloads range from 70 kg to 300 kg depending on the robot, for heavy machine tending, palletising, conveyor handling and brownfield automation.
FEATURES
- Robot payload 70-300 kg (KUKA IONTEC / QUANTEC)
- Decoupled design: AGV (e.g. KUKA KMP 1500) carries the platform between stations
- Docking station supplies power, compressed air and communication
- Operational within 15 s of docking
- no calibration or camera referencing
- Mechanical fixation gives stationary-robot accuracy
- Base includes PLC, KRC5 controller, safety sensors, machine-communication module
- One MRP serves multiple docking stations
- scalable
- Uses: heavy machine tending, palletising, conveyor handling, brownfield automation
