DESCRIPTION

The MAD-5000 is the heavy-duty model in Mad Automation's LGV range, built for special SKUs and non-standard loads. Its oil-hydraulic forks, customised to the load, lift up to 5,000 mm at 0.3 m/s and carry a single load of up to 4,000 kg. Like the rest of the range it navigates by laser with no floor infrastructure, so routes can be changed at any time in Mad's PC route-design software, and it travels at up to 1.5 m/s with positioning precision of up to 5 mm. The vehicles are built from off-the-shelf components so customers can service them, run 24 hours a day on lithium, sealed or traditional lead-acid batteries with automatic battery swapping or opportunity charging, and are supervised by Mad's in-house WMS and Brain 4.0 software alongside its palletisers and conveyors.
