DESCRIPTION
LUMISTAR CARRY is a Consumer-Robot from LUMISTAR. It is built for Analysis, Entertainment, Education. Key figures: 35 kg, 240 min runtime, price $2,399.
CARRY is LUMISTAR's AI basketball training partner, a rebounding and passing machine that tracks shooters with cameras instead of feeding balls on a timer. A quad-camera vision system with a 190-degree field of view follows where each player stands, how they move and how the ball enters the basket; a player calls for the ball with a gesture and CARRY passes to them wherever they are on the court. It can track up to five players at once and alternate passes between them, with live scores and rankings on its 10-inch touchscreen. Its motors vary the velocity, arc, backspin and height of each pass, up to 500 rpm of spin and 10 m of range, at intervals as short as 2.5 seconds with up to four balls loaded. The software analyses the player's shooting motion from legs to fingertips, benchmarks it against elite profiles, maps shot trajectory and backspin into heat maps, and generates a training plan for the next session; spot-up, lead-pass and custom drill modes are built in. Safety sensors stop all passing if anyone steps inside a 2.8 m protection zone. The main unit weighs 35 kg and measures 521 x 381 x 1,001 mm, on a carbon-fibre and aluminium frame with a 1.5 m pyramid base; a handle and wheels let one person roll it into place, and the net extends automatically in about 60 seconds. It runs four hours on battery or indefinitely on mains power. CARRY is sold through Kickstarter from US$2,399. The campaign raised US$1.34 million in July 2026, with batch shipping due to start in November 2026.
