DESCRIPTION

INDY Hand is an End-Effectors from Motorica. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Rehabilitation, Helping. Key figures: 0.5 kg, 10 kg payload.

INDY Hand is Motorica's single-grip bionic forearm prosthesis, a simpler and more robust alternative to its multi-grip hands. Surface EMG sensors read the user's muscle signals - with sensitivity adjusted in an app - to open and close a universal tripod (pinch) grip that can lift up to 10 kg. The hand opens up to 98 mm and rotates passively up to 180 degrees, with an optional quick-disconnect rotator that turns 360 degrees. It is protected to IP54, uses a designer plastic shell or a cosmetic glove, gives 800 to 1,200 grips per charge at 6 V, recharges in five to six hours and works from -10 to +40 C. The hand weighs from 240 g and the complete prosthesis from 520 g; it is intended for users aged 12 and over and carries a three-year warranty.
